Julia R. Reece

The CFO of the company has a very much-needed diverse experienced background. The daughter of the late Pastor William James Coleman and Julia Henrietta (Thomas) Coleman, Julia was born in Detroit, Michigan. Julia studied Computer Science at Wayne State University in Detroit, where she graduated in 1980 with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree.

Experience

Julia has over 20 years of experience in the Computer field in positions that include Programmer Analyst (Michigan Bell Telephone Co., 1980 - 1982), Technical Support Analyst (UNISYS Corp, formerly Burroughs, 1982 - 1991), Computer Consultant and Technical Writer (Comprehensive Data Processing, 1991 - 1994), and Programmer Analyst and Supervisor (City of Detroit, 1994 - present).

In 1991, she founded JR & Associates Computer Services, which she is continuing as owner. She has added several other services to her company, such as computer construction, software installation and training. She also added a tax preparation branch of business to her company, gaining her tax education and preparation skills from Nationwide Income Tax Service and H&R Block. She worked several years partly for Nationwide and H&R Block to refine her financial skills.

Community and Social Affiliations

Julia enjoys music, and plays the piano. She has been a musician at Metropolitan Community Tabernacle of Detroit and Greater Faith New Covenant Assembly of Detroit. She also enjoys reading, travel, baking, needlework, bowling, and computers.

Julia has been nominated for inclusion in several professional publications. She has been included in Marquis Who’s Who of American Women (1991/1992), Society of Young American Professionals (1992/1993), Marquis Who’s Who of Emerging Leaders in America (1993/1994), and Citation’s Who’s Who Registry of Rising Young Americans In American Society and Business (1993), and is currently a candidate for the 57th Edition of Marquis Who’s Who in America.
